Second Knee Replacement: Terrified Before Knee #1, Excited Before Knee #2
I sat down with Sharon three days before her second knee replacement and asked how she was feeling, in one sentence.

She didn't even need the whole sentence. She was excited. Ready to go.

That stopped me, because this is the same woman who told me she was a wreck before her first surgery. Low pain tolerance, and all she could think about was whether she'd get through it. Hearing her now, calm and excited, made my whole week!

Her Fear Before the First Knee Replacement

She was scared of the unknown, and I hear that one all the time, ok, maybe not all the time, but definitely ALOT.

The IV. Waking up with people around her bed. Whether she'd be able to lift her leg, whether she'd be able to walk, how she'd get around her own house. Her doctors told her what they could, but she wanted to hear from someone who had already been through it.

So, she did what so many of us do. She searched Facebook, found my group, and found the Hub.

What She Did Differently for Her Second Knee Replacement

She got ready instead of getting busy.

Before knee #1, she was running around buying things. Looking back, she didn't use half of it. That was me too. This time, she did one thing with her walker that changed how her whole house is set up, and she'd already done it by the time we talked.

I'm not going to give it away. It's simple, and you'll want to hear it from her. Watch Sharon's interview on YouTube.

Calm Confidence Before Knee Replacement Surgery

Sharon knows she'll have pain, she’s done this before. She also knows it's temporary, and she knows what it's leading to.

She has a vision. She lives in Florida and loves sea turtles, and she wants to be on the beach helping protect their nests. She wants to ride her bike and walk the trails without pain. That picture is what she's holding onto heading into surgery.

That's what I want for you. Calm confidence.

A Community for Knee Replacement Recovery

There is a place to go through this with other people, and I built it for exactly that.

This has been on my heart since 2021, and it's finally coming to life. I want you to have a community of people doing the same thing you are. If your surgery date lines up with someone else's, you can walk it side by side. And I want you to have resources whenever you want them, all waiting for you on Skool.

Meet Suzie Andrade

I was 41 when I was told I needed a knee replacement.
And that my other knee would likely follow.

That sentence alone changed how I moved through the world.

I stopped playing softball.
I stopped walking just to "walk".
I avoided stairs. Curbs. Parking far away for extra steps.
Even the small, normal things started to feel like obstacles.

One day, I was on the beach, walking through the sand and muttering under my breath with every painful step. I wanted to walk down to the water, but it felt too far. That was the day I drew a very real line in the sand and decided I couldn’t keep living this way.

I had my left knee replaced at 45, my right hip at 46 and my right knee at 48.

What I didn’t know then was that pain would shape my purpose.

Each surgery taught me more than how to heal a body. It taught me resilience, patience and how much faith we carry when we’re forced to slow down and keep going. It also showed me this: there are real gaps in the knee replacement "adventure".

Doctors and physical therapists do important work, but they don’t talk about everything — the fear, the frustration, the days when healing feels invisible. Not because they don’t care. Because they haven’t lived it. I have.

That’s why I created the Yetter Getter Mindset and why I show up as your Holistic Knee Replacement Guide — to fill in the spaces that get skipped so recovery feels doable, supported and human.
